Number of Voluntary workers in Non Profit sector in Saudi Arabia to grow 125 times

The Labor and Social Development Ministry of Saudi Arabia is  considering booming the population of workers involved in coluntary work from 24,500 to 300,000 by 2020. These people will be engaged in one of the 200 civil organisations of Saudi Arab. 

Needs of each organisation will be assessed and accordingly additional volunteers will be provided. The prime targets are non-profit organizations including the civil organizations and foundations, neighborhood centers and cooperative organizations.

The ministry will provide appropriate training; track performance of volunteers; list and pubsih their achievements to inspire them to perform better. Recruitment agencies based in Saudi Arab might be employed to hasten this process.

The ministry stressed that it will deal with rehabilitating and training volunteers, following up on their performance, publishing their achievements and the social and economic influence they have contributed with after their voluntary work.
