This is a unique opportunity to lead and scale world-class software engineering teams powering large-scale, mission-critical healthcare technology platforms. Engineering teams operate with a high degree of autonomy, solving complex business challenges in close collaboration with Product, Design, Data, and AI stakeholders.

In this leadership role, you will oversee software engineering, data engineering, and core platform engineering functions, ensuring a strong technical foundation that supports rapid growth, innovation, and compliance-driven delivery. As part of the leadership team, you will collaborate with global business and AI partners to execute strategic initiatives and build technology that transforms healthcare outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Building

• Recruit, build, and retain high-performing full-stack engineering teams.
• Lead engineering managers and senior individual contributors through mentorship, performance management, and career development.
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, and ownership-driven engineering culture.

Engineering & Platform Ownership

• Own key platform metrics including quality, availability, response time, reliability, and time-to-value.
• Establish best practices for scalable system design, SDLC, and continuous delivery.
• Drive technical excellence using strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.

Strategy & Execution

• Partner with product leadership to define roadmaps, requirements, and delivery plans.
• Contribute to company-wide strategy, technology vision, and long-term platform planning.
• Identify opportunities for technology modernization and innovation.

Product Development

• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of secure, scalable software products.
• Recommend architectural patterns aligned with platform standards and continuous improvement.

Compliance & Security

• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, security standards, and internal policies.
• Drive implementation of robust security, data protection, and compliance frameworks.

Required Qualifications

• 12–15 years of experience designing, building, and operating software products at scale.
• 8+ years of experience managing engineering teams in agile, fast-paced environments.
• Proven experience building and leading geographically distributed teams.
• Strong background in B2B Enterprise SaaS and startup environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with US healthcare standards and regulations (FHIR, HL7, HIPAA).
• Hands-on exposure to applied Machine Learning in healthcare or life sciences.
• Experience building and operating secure, compliant data lakes or lakehouse architectures.
• Payer-focused HealthTech experience is strongly preferred.
