About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Manager – MEP to manage cost estimation, budgeting, tendering, billing, cost control and commercial management for MEP packages across hotel and commercial building projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) cost management within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• · Prepare detailed pre-tender cost estimates and project budgets for HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.

• · Carry out accurate quantity take-offs and measurements using CostX, AutoCAD or similar tools.

• · Prepare, review and certify contractor RA bills based on actual work progress.

• · Handle final account settlements and commercial closure.

• · Prepare tender documents and evaluate vendor/subcontractor bids.

• · Support procurement activities and contract negotiations for MEP packages.

• · Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets.

• · Manage cost variations, change orders and claims.

• · Prepare monthly cost and financial status reports.

• · Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization without compromising quality.

• · Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors and project teams on commercial and cost-related matters.

• · Ensure effective cost monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate Requirements

• · Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

• · Minimum 9+ years of relevant experience in MEP cost management / quantity surveying / commercial management.

• · Strong experience in HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing cost estimation and control.

• · Hands-on knowledge of CostX and/or AutoCAD.

• · Strong experience in billing, BOQ, quantity take-offs, tendering, variations and cost reporting.

• · Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, procurement and commercial processes.

• · Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.

Mandatory Project Experience 

• Candidates must have experience in Hotel or Commercial Building Projects within the construction industry.

• Experience should include handling MEP packages from estimation/tendering through billing, cost control and final accounts.
