Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Plant Head / Plant In-Charge cum CEO to take complete responsibility for the overall functioning and business operations of a rubber manufacturing plant.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical and commercial expertise in rubber manufacturing, along with the ability to independently manage plant operations, production, quality, maintenance, finance, supply chain, HR, sales coordination and overall business profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant & Production Management

• Take complete responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the rubber manufacturing plant.
• Oversee production planning, manufacturing processes, capacity utilisation and productivity.
• Ensure timely production and delivery as per customer requirements.
• Implement lean manufacturing, cost optimisation and operational excellence initiatives.

2. Technical & Manufacturing Operations

• Strong understanding of rubber compounding, mixing, moulding, extrusion, vulcanisation and other rubber processing techniques.
• Ensure optimum utilisation of machinery, manpower and raw materials.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and plant infrastructure.
• Drive process improvements and minimise production wastage.

3. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure product quality and adherence to industry standards.
• Implement quality control systems and process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, safety and environmental regulations.

4. Financial & Commercial Management

• Manage plant budgets, operating costs and profitability.
• Control manufacturing costs and improve operational margins.
• Monitor raw material procurement, inventory and working capital.
• Drive overall business performance and financial targets.

5. People & Administration Management

• Lead and manage all plant departments, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, HR and Administration.
• Build and develop a strong management team.
• Handle manpower planning, employee performance and workforce discipline.

6. Business & Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute business strategies for plant growth and expansion.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers and senior management.
• Take independent decisions for smooth plant functioning.
• Drive overall plant performance, operational efficiency and business profitability.
• 15–25 years of overall experience in manufacturing, with substantial experience in rubber manufacturing.
• Must have handled complete plant operations in a senior leadership position.
• Strong technical knowledge of rubber manufacturing processes.
• Experience managing Production, Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, Stores, HR and Finance functions.
• Proven ability to independently run a manufacturing facility as a business head.
• Strong leadership, decision-making and commercial management skills.
• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, Polymer or Rubber Technology preferred.
