POSITION REPORTS TO - Regional Sales Director / Shared Service Centre Manager
1. JOB PURPOSE
• Solicit demand and secure profitable sales of materials and services across our line card and service portfolio, consistent with our business competencies, working from our sales office locations.
• Prepare quotations for catalogue and non-catalogue materials, process Customer Purchase Orders and Repair Orders for materials and services across our line card and service portfolio.
• Meet or exceed customer expectations around value, service level, and compliance with technical and commercial requirements, facilitating secure, long term commercial relationships
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
• For assigned personal accounts, or as a service partner to an assigned global Business Development Manager:
o solicit demand for the company’s materials and services from current and prospective customers; and
o submit timely and compelling quotes for materials and services, achieving agreed commercial objectives for revenue, margin, and risk for each opportunity.
• Act as a Subject Matter expert in the use of commercial aviation trading platforms such as ILS and PartsBase.
• For assigned personal accounts, or as a service partner to an assigned global Business Development Manager, secure supporting quotations for ad hoc sales of:
o non-catalogue materials and services directly from prospective suppliers (broker directly) or in collaboration with an assigned Customer Service Specialist, as appropriate; and
o for catalogue materials and services, by reference to our inventory management system.
• Conclude sales consistent with the commercial policies set out by the Regional Sales Director, including target margins, payment & delivery terms.
• Process Customer Purchase Orders and Repair Orders received in response to:
o ad hoc quotations and sales, confirming the customer promise in a corresponding Sales Order Confirmation; and
o contract / term agreement sales for assigned accounts, confirming the customer promise in a corresponding Sales Order Confirmation.
• Ensure Sales Order Confirmations are consistent with the standard terms established for each customer, including processing & handling charges, target margins, payment & delivery terms.
• Collaborate with the Regional Sales Director in the preparation of proposals / contracts / term agreements for the supply of materials and services, when required.
• Secure the commitment of internal stakeholders in support of quotations, ensuring we can deliver on our commercial and technical offers (e.g. Chief Executive Officer, Finance, Operations).
• Hand off accountability for the execution of Sales Orders to the allocated Customer Service Specialist, managing a smooth transition from the customer promise, reflected in the Sales Order Confirmation, to the Operations team for fulfilment.
• Collaborate with the Regional Sales Director and assigned Business Development Manager in the resolution of commercial, technical and operational disputes with customers over Company performance.
• Assist in developing business strategies to grow and diversify our customer base.
• Work closely with the Regional Sales and Business Intelligence Manager in documenting leads and opportunities, enabling collaborative qualification and development of these leads and opportunities between the respective sales teams.
• Remain accountable to the customer for satisfactory fulfilment, maintaining professional communications with the customer regarding the execution of their requirements.
• Meet sales Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) set by the Regional Sales Director.
• Support the Finance team by expediting outstanding customer payments and resolving related queries.
3. PERFORMANCE METRICS
• New Leads & Qualified Leads.
• Revenue and margin targets for allocated accounts.
• Customer satisfaction measured by customer surveys.
• RFQ to Sales Quote TAT.
• Customer Purchase Order to Sales Order Confirmation TAT.
• QMS compliance.
4. REPORTING LINES
• Direct report to the Regional Sales Director.
• Key collaborative role with assigned Business Development Managers.
• Direct report to the Shared Service Centre Manager.
• Key collaborative roles with the Operations team.
