🧭 Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Director to lead and strengthen the procurement function for a leading organization in the auto ancillary industry. This strategic leadership role will be responsible for sourcing excellence, cost optimization, supplier development, and ensuring uninterrupted supply to support manufacturing operations.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall procurement and sourcing strategy aligned with business goals
• Lead direct and indirect procurement including raw materials, components, tooling, and services
• Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and supplier consolidation initiatives
• Develop and manage strategic supplier partnerships (domestic and international)
• Oversee supplier evaluation, audits, quality, and compliance requirements
• Work closely with manufacturing, quality, R&D, and finance teams
• Manage contract negotiations, long-term agreements, and risk mitigation
• Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement and supply chain team
• Ensure adherence to automotive quality standards and regulatory requirements

🧩 Required Experience & Skills

• Extensive experience in procurement / purchasing leadership within the auto ancillary or automotive manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of automotive components, raw materials, and vendor ecosystems
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, cost management, and supplier development
• Experience handling high-value negotiations and global suppliers
• Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

🎓 Education

• Engineering degree (Mechanical preferred)
• MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or Materials Management preferred
