About the Role

A leading organization in the Industrial Automation sector is looking for an experienced and innovative Head – Research & Development to lead product innovation, technology development, and engineering excellence. The ideal candidate will drive the design and development of next-generation automation solutions while leading a high-performing R&D team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the R&D function for automation products and solutions.
• Drive product innovation, research, design, and new technology development.
• Manage end-to-end product development from concept to commercialization.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams comprising hardware, software, embedded systems, and mechanical design engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely product delivery and quality standards.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and implement industry best practices.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, validation, and product optimization.
• Develop technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in Industrial Automation, Product Development, or R&D.
• Proven leadership experience in managing R&D teams and delivering innovative automation solutions.
• Strong expertise in PLC, SCADA, Embedded Systems, Industrial IoT, Motion Control, Robotics, or Control Systems.
• Experience in product lifecycle management and technology strategy is highly desirable.
