Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head of MEP Design to lead and manage the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design function for large-scale residential and commercial real estate projects. The role involves overseeing design strategy, ensuring compliance with industry standards, optimizing project efficiency, and coordinating with architects, structural teams, consultants, and contractors.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in MEP systems, sustainable building solutions, and project management, along with proven experience in handling multiple large-scale real estate developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the MEP design and engineering function for residential and commercial real estate projects.
• Develop and implement MEP design strategies, standards, and best practices across projects.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, and project teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Review and approve MEP drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical submissions.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, statutory requirements, safety standards, and sustainability guidelines.
• Optimize energy efficiency, cost effectiveness, and operational performance of MEP systems.
• Manage and guide internal design teams, external consultants, and vendors.
• Oversee value engineering and technical evaluations during project planning and execution.
• Support procurement and project teams in technical selection of MEP equipment and contractors.
• Monitor project timelines to ensure design deliverables are completed within schedule.
• Stay updated with latest technologies, green building standards, and industry innovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• Professional certifications in MEP / building services / project management will be an advantage.

Experience

• 15–20+ years of experience in MEP design and engineering.
• Minimum 5–8 years in a leadership role managing MEP design for large real estate developments.
• Strong exposure to high-rise residential, commercial complexes, mixed-use developments, and townships.
