Role Overview
We are seeking a highly competent and detail-driven Finance & Billing Manager to oversee financial operations, project billing, and revenue realization across multiple projects. This role is critical in ensuring accurate billing, cash flow management, financial compliance, and profitability tracking.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in project finance, billing cycles, accounting practices, and financial controls, along with the ability to collaborate across project, procurement, and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Billing & Revenue Management
Manage end-to-end billing processes, including RA bills, milestone-based billing, and final settlements.
Ensure timely and accurate invoicing in line with contractual terms and project progress.
Track revenue recognition and ensure alignment with accounting standards.
2. Accounts Receivable & Cash Flow Management
Monitor and manage accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely collections from clients.
Prepare and track cash flow statements and projections.
Follow up with clients and internal teams to minimize outstanding dues and improve liquidity.
3. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for projects and business units.
Conduct variance analysis (planned vs actual) and provide actionable insights.
Track project profitability and financial performance.
4. Cost Control & Financial Governance
Work closely with Quantity Surveying, Procurement, and Project teams to monitor project costs.
Ensure adherence to approved budgets and financial discipline.
Implement financial controls to prevent cost overruns and leakages.
5. Accounting & Compliance
Ensure accurate accounting of all financial transactions in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Manage GST, TDS, and other tax-related compliances relevant to project billing.
Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits.
6. Contractual & Commercial Alignment
Review contracts to ensure proper billing terms, payment milestones, and financial clauses.
Align billing processes with contractual obligations and commercial agreements.
Support dispute resolution related to billing and payments.
7. Reporting & MIS
Prepare and present financial reports, billing summaries, and MIS dashboards to leadership.
Track KPIs such as billing efficiency, collection cycles, and project profitability.
Provide insights for strategic decision-making.
8. Systems & Process Optimization
Implement and manage ERP systems for finance and billing operations.
Standardize billing formats, processes, and documentation.
Drive automation and digitization initiatives to improve efficiency.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting
CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) (preferred)
Experience Requirements
810 years of experience in finance, accounting, and project billing roles
Strong experience in construction, infrastructure, or real estate sectors
Proven track record in managing project billing, AR, and financial controls
Experience working with ERP systems and multi-project environments
