About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director – Procurement to lead procurement strategy, vendor management, strategic sourcing, and cost optimization across logistics and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in procurement, contract negotiations, supplier relationships, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead sourcing and purchasing activities for logistics, transportation, warehousing, fleet, and operational requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
• Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, pricing, and service-level agreements.
• Drive cost optimization, procurement efficiency, and supplier performance improvement.
• Establish procurement policies, processes, compliance standards, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, supply chain, and business teams to ensure timely availability of goods and services.
• Monitor procurement budgets, expenditure, market trends, and supplier risks.
• Lead vendor audits, contract reviews, and strategic supplier development initiatives.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing procurement team.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• MBA or postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management/Procurement is preferred.
• 15–20+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Proven leadership experience in the logistics, transportation, warehousing, freight, or supply chain industry.
• Strong expertise in vendor negotiations, contract management, cost control, and procurement systems.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
