About the Role:

We are seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead the strategic and operational growth of a leading player in the Pharmaceuticals API and Intermediates segment. The CEO will be responsible for shaping the organization’s global expansion strategy, strengthening its regulatory and manufacturing capabilities, and driving innovation and excellence across all functions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute long-term vision and growth strategy for API & Intermediates business.
• Expand operations in regulated markets (US, EU, Japan) through CEP, DMF, and global filings.
• Identify new product portfolios aligned with global therapeutic trends.
• Build partnerships and alliances for contract development and manufacturing (CDMO).

2. Operational Excellence

• Lead end-to-end plant operations including Production, QA/QC, EHS, SCM, and Engineering.
• Ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to best manufacturing practices.
• Implement digital systems for operational excellence and traceability.
• Oversee technology transfer, plant expansion, and vendor partnerships.

3. Regulatory & Quality Governance

• Maintain full compliance with national and international agencies (USFDA, EMA, EDQM, WHO GMP).
• Oversee regulatory filings (CEP, DMF, ANDA support).
• Strengthen Quality Management Systems and continuous improvement culture.

4. Financial & Business Management

• Lead the division’s P&L, ensuring strong ROI and sustainable profitability.
• Drive cost optimization, pricing strategy, and investment planning.
• Oversee R&D, capital expenditure, and expansion projects.

5. Team Leadership & Development

• Build and mentor a high-performance leadership team across all functions.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and ethical business conduct.
• Lead capability building, leadership development, and talent retention programs.

6. Market & Business Expansion

• Drive international business development across APIs, intermediates, and CDMO.
• Engage with key customers, regulatory consultants, and global partners.
• Represent the company at leading global forums and industry events.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proven leadership in API/Intermediates business with global exposure.
• Deep understanding of regulatory compliance (USFDA, EU GMP, WHO GMP).
• Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic acumen.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to inspire teams and build a performance-driven culture.
