Role Summary:
Unimech Aerospace is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Business
Development Director to lead growth initiatives in the Precision Components /
Assemblies sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business
development within Aerospace, Défense, Semiconductors and possess deep
technical knowledge of machining, Special process and precision manufacturing.
This role demands a visionary leader who can identify market opportunities, build
strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth while aligning with the company’s
long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Market Expansion
• Develop and execute long-term business development strategies to expand
Unimech Aerospace’s presence in domestic and international markets. Should
be able strategize & execute the growth to reach 1000Cr revenue in next 3 years
(Current 260Cr)
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends,
customer needs, and new business opportunities.
• Define and implement go-to-market strategies for new products and services in
the aerospace tooling, precision components and Turnkey solutions with
continuous improvement.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
• Identify, engage, and secure new clients including OEMs & Tier 1 across
aerospace & defence, semi-conductor’s markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement
heads, and technical stakeholders.
• Act as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, ensuring high levels of
customer satisfaction and retention.
Technical Collaboration & Solution Development
• Work closely with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to develop
customized tooling and machining solutions that meet client specifications.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable technical briefs and proposals.
• Provide technical insights during client discussions to build trust and
demonstrate capability.
Sales & Revenue Growth
• Own the sales pipeline and revenue targets for the entire business division.
• Lead proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
• Monitor sales performance, forecast revenue, and report progress to senior
leadership.
Cross-functional Leadership
• Collaborate with internal teams including R&D, production, quality, and finance
to ensure seamless project execution.
• Drive alignment between business development goals and operational
capabilities.
• Mentor and guide junior BD professionals and contribute to team development.
Brand Representation & Industry Engagement
• Represent Unimech Aerospace at industry conferences, trade shows, and
networking events.
• Build brand visibility and promote the company’s capabilities through
presentations, white papers, and thought leadership.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related
field (MBA preferred).
• 15–20 years of experience in business development within Aerospace, Defence,
Energy or Semi-Conductors industries.
• Strong technical understanding of CNC machining, Tooling,
Mechanical/Electromechanical Assemblies applications and Manufacturing
processes.
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth and securing high-value contracts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects and work cross-functionally with technical
and commercial teams.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as AS9100, ISO, and other relevant
certifications.
