We are hiring for one of our esteemed clients who are  providing end-to-end electrical, switchgear, and automation solutions for the below mentioned profiles.

With the two entities,they deliver end-to-end electrical, switchgear, and automation solutions to clients across infrastructure, oil and gas, and industrial sectors. We are an authorised Siemens supply chain partner and pride ourselves on technical depth, project execution, and long-term client relationships.

The Role :

We are looking for a capable and self-driven Automation Engineer to join our team across our UAE and Qatar operations. This is a dual-focus role covering both electrical panel automation and industrial control systems, and sits at the intersection of engineering delivery and client-facing technical support. You will work across the full project lifecycle, from design and programming through to commissioning and handover, on projects spanning industrial facilities, oilfield infrastructure, and commercial developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and commission low voltage switchgear panels, MCC panels, and control panels in line with project specifications and international standards

• Develop, test, and deploy PLC programs (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal preferred) and SCADA/HMI configurations for industrial and process control applications

• Produce and review technical documentation including schematics, I/O lists, cause and effect matrices, FAT/SAT test procedures, and O&M manuals

• Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and site teams to ensure on-time and on-spec delivery

• Conduct site visits for installation supervision, commissioning, and client training

• Support pre-sales and tendering activity by providing technical input, BOQs, and solution scoping

• Liaise with suppliers and OEMs including Siemens, Schneider, and ABB on product selection and technical queries

• Identify and escalate non-conformances during fabrication, testing, or site execution

What We Are Looking For

Mid-Level (3 to 6 years)

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related discipline

• Hands-on experience with PLC programming and panel wiring/testing

• Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP)

• Exposure to oil and gas or heavy industry projects is an advantage

• Candidates with Siemens TIA Portal experience will be prioritised

Senior (6+ years)

• All of the above, with demonstrated ability to lead technical delivery on multi-discipline projects

• Experience managing FAT/SAT processes and interfacing directly with clients and third-party inspectors

• Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal technical standards

• Track record in the GCC region is strongly preferred

• Familiarity with IEC, NEMA, and relevant regional standards (DEWA, KAHRAMAA, ADDC) is an advantage
