Job Title: Associate Director – Logistics Decision Intelligence

Key Accountabilities

Strategy & Leadership

• Define and deliver a Logistics Decision Intelligence strategy aligned with enterprise goals and the supply chain transformation roadmap.
• Drive value creation from early wins to sustained, scalable impact across the global logistics network.

Governance & Standards

• Lead logistics technical governance and establish global standards for data, analytics, and digital solutions.
• Represent Logistics in enterprise-level governance forums to ensure consistency, security, and scalability.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify needs, co-create solutions, and ensure adoption of analytics-led initiatives with measurable business outcomes.

Team Leadership

• Build and lead diverse global teams of analysts, data scientists, and logistics domain experts.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and disciplined execution in a matrix organisation.

Data Integrity & Analytics

• Establish logistics data domains and integrity requirements to enable reliable visibility, analytics, and decision support.
• Direct development of advanced analytics, simulations, and AI/ML models for network optimisation, risk assessment, and performance monitoring.

Digital Transformation

• Champion digital tools such as control towers, dashboards, and predictive analytics to embed data-driven decision making across logistics operations.

KPIs & Performance Management

• Define strategic KPIs and business intelligence dashboards to monitor service, cost, sustainability, and operational resilience.
• Create a single source of truth for logistics performance reporting.

Continuous Improvement & Risk Management

• Identify and scale opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, agility, and customer experience using Lean methodologies.
• Develop scenario analyses and decision-support tools to anticipate disruptions and strengthen risk mitigation.

Logistics Applications

• Oversee development, integration, and value realisation of logistics applications such as TMS, P44, Validate, CCIS, and temperature management systems.

Ethics, Compliance & Quality

• Lead by example on ethical conduct, compliance, and governance standards.
• For GxP areas, ensure understanding of regulatory requirements and provision of appropriate resources to maintain and improve the Quality system.

Managerial Responsibilities

• Drive performance management, talent development, recruitment, fiscal stewardship, and SHE responsibilities.
• Build a high-performing, trusted, and compliant team.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience leading Logistics Decision Intelligence or advanced analytics strategies in a global supply chain environment.
• Strong background in logistics intelligence governance, data integrity, and enterprise analytics standards.
• Experience deploying advanced analytics, AI/ML, simulations, and optimisation tools for logistics and network planning.
• Hands-on knowledge of logistics systems such as TMS, P44, Validate, CCIS, and temperature-controlled / cold chain logistics.
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse global teams in a matrix organisation.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
• Ability to translate complex analytics into operational and strategic decisions.
• Experience working within regulated environments with an understanding of GxP requirements.

Desirable Experience

• Track record of applying Lean methodologies to standardise ways of working and sustain improvements.
• Experience building or scaling logistics control towers in complex, multi-tier networks.
• Proficiency with modern data platforms, analytics tools, and visualisation technologies.
• Background in life sciences, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
• Strong vendor and partner management capabilities.
