Job Title
Admissions Manager – CBSE & Cambridge Curriculum (K–12)
Location
Vasundhara/Ghaziabad
Reports To
Dual reporting to the Head of Admissions at the Corporate Office, with dotted line reporting to the Principal.
Role Purpose
The Admissions Manager is responsible for driving student enrolment growth for K–12- Cambridge (IGCSE, AS & A Levels) & CBSE programmes by managing the entire admissions lifecycle, strengthening parent trust, ensuring regulatory compliance, and positioning the school as a premium academic brand.
Key Responsibilities
1. Admissions Strategy & Planning

Develop and execute annual admission targets for Cambridge & CBSE streams.

Create segment-wise strategies (CBSE and Cambridge, Indian and international families, grade-wise intake).

Analyse enrolment trends, conversion ratios, drop-offs, and competitor benchmarks.

Plan admission calendars, intake cycles, and waitlist management.
2. Parent Engagement & Counselling
-
Lead parent counselling sessions explaining:

CBSE and Cambridge curriculum
-
Assessment styles, progression pathways, and global university readiness
-
Address parent concerns on:
-
Academic rigour
-
Board transitions (CBSE → Cambridge / Cambridge → IB )
-
Conduct school tours, open houses, and virtual walkthroughs.

Ensure a high-touch, empathetic experience for prospective parents.
3. Cambridge Curriculum-Specific Responsibilities
-
Clearly communicate:
-
IGCSE subject choices, assessment structure, grading
-
AS & A Level pathways and university recognition
-
Coordinate with Cambridge Academic Heads to align intake capacity.
-
Ensure compliance with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) norms during admissions.
-
Educate parents on:
-
Learner attributes
-
Skill-based learning and global competencies
-
Support smooth board transition admissions (CBSE to Cambridge).
3 A. CBSE Curriculum-Specific Responsibilities
-
Ensure the admissions counselling team is thoroughly briefed and kept current on:
-
Subject choices and stream selection (Science, Commerce, Humanities) at Senior Secondary level
-
Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) structure, internal assessment weightage, and board exam pattern
-
Grading system (CGPA) and its conversion for university applications
-
Liaise with CBSE Academic Heads / Coordinators to finalise and align section-wise and stream-wise intake capacity each admission cycle.
-
Own end-to-end compliance with CBSE affiliation norms and Board guidelines across the admissions process, including periodic audits of counsellor communication for accuracy.

Design and oversee parent education initiatives (orientation sessions, FAQs, info decks) covering:

NEP 2020-aligned competency-based learning
-
Co-scholastic areas, skill subjects, and holistic report card components
-
IEYC (International Early Years Curriculum) learner attributes at the foundational stage — Enquirers, Risk-takers, Communicators, Thinkers, Collaborators, and Reflective Learners — and how this thematic, inquiry-based foundation transitions into the CBSE pathway from Grade 1 onward
-
Define and monitor the board transition admissions process (Cambridge/IB/State Board to CBSE, and IEYC-to-CBSE continuity at early years level), ensuring counsellors are equipped with clear credit/subject equivalence guidance and parent-facing talking points.

Track and report admission cycle metrics by curriculum stream (IEYC, CBSE) to leadership, flagging capacity constraints or demand shifts early.
4. Marketing & Lead Generation (In Collaboration with Marketing Team)

Support development of:

Admission brochures, curriculum decks, FAQs
-
Digital campaigns, school website admission content
-
Track leads from:
-
Website, social media, referrals, walk-ins, education fairs
-
Participate in:
-
Education exhibitions, relocation fairs, corporate tie-ups
-
Build relationships with preschools, feeder schools, consultants, and relocation agencies.
5. Admissions Operations & Compliance

Oversee:

Application processing

Documentation verification

Entrance assessments/interactions
-
Ensure compliance with:

CBSE affiliation bylaws
-
Local education authority regulations
-
Data privacy norms
-
Maintain accurate admission records on ERP / CRM systems.

Prepare admission MIS reports for leadership.
6. Team Leadership

Lead, train, and mentor the Admissions Counselling Team.

Set conversion KPIs, daily follow-up protocols, and service standards.

Conduct regular performance reviews and skill upgradation sessions.
7. Stakeholder Coordination
-
Work closely with:

Principal, Head Mistress & Admission Head at Corporate
-
Marketing & Branding teams
-
Finance for fee structures and payment plans
-
Act as the bridge between academics and parents during admission decisions.
